Godfather’s Pizza, Inc. (GPI) is looking for someone ready to make some dough. The company is searching for an entrepreneur or group of entrepreneurs to open a new location in Campbell County.

The well-established pizza company opened the Gillette location in 1983 and recently closed after the franchise owner took “An offer he couldn’t refuse.” Now the company is looking for a franchisee to bring back the pizza, made with quality dough and toppings piled high.

Gillette is posed to be a strong market for a pizza restaurant – its population increased nearly 50 percent from 2000 to 2010 and continues to grow. According to the US Census Bureau and Gillette Chamber of Commerce, the average citizen in Gillette is 30 years old and the median annual household income in 2010 was $70,090. The average unemployment rate in Campbell County was 3.7 percent, compared to the 5.3 percent national average. A new store would introduce 25 new jobs to the area.

Founded in 1973, Godfather’s Pizza continues to impress pizza lovers around the nation. Nation’s Restaurant News awarded the company as the 2016 Consumer Pick for Pizza, after surveying thousands of consumers on the best limited-service restaurant brands. Restaurant Business also conducted a consumer trends study with Godfather’s Pizza finding itself in the top three for pizza in 2016.
