Intalere, the healthcare industry leader in delivering optimal cost, quality and clinical outcomes, hosted members and suppliers for its inaugural Member Conference at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, Nev., May 17-20, 2016, with a focus on their mission of elevating the operational health of America’s healthcare providers.

The conference was highlighted by the announcement of the selection of global supply chain and logistics management expert Julius Heil as president and CEO, effective May 23, 2016, to lead the continuing transformation of the organization as a model professional healthcare supply chain company. Heil succeeds Brent Johnson, who is retiring after more than 30 years as a recognized trailblazer in leading and managing progressive supply chain organizations both inside and outside healthcare. Johnson will remain as a special advisor to Heil through July 1, 2016.

The company also officially launched a new mobile app for its industry-leading Supplier Resources website, Intalere’s online portal for suppliers. It’s now available for free in the app stores by searching by Intalere Supplier Resources or Supplier Resources.

Intalere’s Supplier Resources mobile app features:

  • Single log in capability. Intalere suppliers only have to log in once – and then will remain logged in for subsequent sessions.
  • The ability to conduct facility searches.
  • Meetings planning with the geographic search option featuring a mapping tool.
  • Contract and related information access, including Intalere contact information.
  • Live chat with our customer service team.
  • Easy access to the full Supplier Resources website (with access to all of our online functionality).
  • Connectivity with Intalere via its social media channels.

“The new Supplier Resources app further enhances our ability to help suppliers vastly improve response times on our members’ requests to access their contracts and ensure price accuracy,” said Scott Mullins, vice president of product development for Intalere.

The Intalere Healthcare Achievement Awards, were the focus of a dinner event and celebration recognizing Intalere’s members and suppliers for their accomplishments. Member awardees will also be recognized through inclusion in the Intalere Best Practices Compendium, which is compiled and shared annually with the Intalere membership base.

The education sessions, keynote presentations and networking activities were capped by a keynote session by Joe Walsh, Vice President, Supply Chain & Chief Purchasing Officer for Intermountain Healthcare, issuing a “Call to Action” to supply chain professionals to continue to elevate the strategic importance of the function within their organizations and the industry.
