The ‘Good Neighbor Award’ is an important recognition and motor for us to continue driving economic growth through innovation to benefit the economies of both countries.
MONTERREY, Mexico & NEW YORK, New York (PRWEB) May 31, 2016
Softtek, founder of the nearshore industry and leading global IT services provider dedicated to creating value through technology, today announced it was honored by the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC) with the 'Good Neighbor Award' at its annual Binational Conference, which took place at the Organization of American States Headquarters in Washington, D.C. on May 24th and May 25th, 2016.
"The Chamber is presenting a Good Neighbor Award to Softtek in recognition to its leadership in IT Innovation in Mexico and in the US, and for their valuable support in strengthening the ties between both countries with initiatives and projects that promote job creation and economic development in North America," said Al Zapanta, President and CEO of the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce.
“Softtek is honored to be recognized by the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, as a testament to our commitment to deliver value through technology in our daily work, and thanks to the trust of our clients we are contributing to opening up digital borders,” said Blanca Treviño, President and CEO of Softtek. “Proof of this is our contribution to the creation of digital platforms in Mexico’s foreign trade which have created more agile processes for trade with the United States and the world, thereby contributing to the competitiveness of North America.”
In 1996, Softtek entered the US market from Mexico with its first US clients and now creates digital solutions for some of the most recognizable corporate brands. Over the last twenty years, the company has invested its time and capital in developing talent and partnering with organizations across the U.S. and Mexico to enhance the region's competitiveness through the use of technology.
“Softtek’s prominence in North America is the byproduct of NAFTA and of the huge integration of the US-Mexico economies over the last two decades,” said Marcos Jimenez, CEO of Softtek US & Canada and member of the Binational Board of Directors for the USMCOC. “The ‘Good Neighbor Award’ is an important recognition and motor for us to continue driving economic growth through innovation to benefit the economies of both countries.”
Over a span of three decades, the USMCOC has gathered in Washington, D.C., to witness the presentation of the Good Neighbor Award to ministers, ambassadors, governors, congressmen, current and former presidents, corporate CEOs, chairmen of organizations and others who have made a significant difference in U.S.-Mexico relations. In addition to Softtek, this year’s recipients of the Good Neighbor Award included Luis Videgaray Caso, Mexico’s Secretary of Finance and Public Credit; Jeh C. Johnson, US Secretary of Homeland Security; and Verizon Communications.
