"We are thrilled to be working with a socially-conscious company like Skout's Honor that is dedicated to helping animals in shelters and rescues," said Elizabeth Asher, co-founder of Rescue Bank.

Rescue Bank®, a signature program of GreaterGood.org that provides grants to the animal rescue community in the form of donated pet food and supplies, has joined forces with Skout’s Honor, an environmentally and socially-conscious company offering better, faster and stronger solutions to everyday pet stain and odor problems, to generate a deeper impact on improving the lives of rescue animals.
Skout’s Honor is a fast-growing startup with a line of products that offer powerful, professional-strength cleaning capabilities with a ‘green approach’ – making them safe to use around pets, family and home. The company has already shown its commitment to improving the lives of pets with its Skout’s Paw Pledge™, through which it vows to provide one day’s worth of food to an animal in need with every product sold. Last year, the company sought out Rescue Bank to become its Paw Pledge recipient, and it is one of the first brand partners to integrate donations to the organization as part its business model. In fact, Skout’s Honor is the first and only company in its category (cleaning/stain and odor products) to support Rescue Bank in this way.
“We are proud to offer our customers the opportunity to give back in a meaningful way each time they choose one of our products,” said Macon Brock, president at Skout’s Honor. “Partnering with the Rescue Bank allows us to focus on building a sustainable business with exceptional products, while they handle the important distribution and logistics of getting food to the animals who need it the most. Together we are nurturing more adoptable pets and making a greater impact!”
Rescue Bank has delivered more than 150 million meals since its inception 10 years ago, which is the equivalent of more than 15 million meals a year, 41K meals a day, 1.7K meals an hour, or 28 meals a minute. The assistance received through Skout’s Honor and its Paw Pledge program allows them to further increase these numbers.
“We are thrilled to be working with a socially-conscious company like Skout’s Honor that is dedicated to helping animals in shelters and rescues,” said Elizabeth Asher, co-founder of Rescue Bank. “Food is one of the largest expenses that rescues incur and the assistance in this area from Skout’s Honor allows Rescue Bank’s recipients – small rescues and shelters across the country – to apply scarce dollars toward spay/neuter, other medical costs, and adoption programs.”

About Rescue Bank
Rescue Bank operates on the national food bank model, serving community-based animal welfare groups that typically lack access to resources. Rescue Bank recognizes that these smaller, less-visible groups represent a substantial portion of America’s animal rescue resource. Rescue Bank works with name-brand suppliers to deliver donated pet food to serve both the ongoing needs of more than 1,800 animal welfare organizations and the immediate needs of communities after disasters such as Superstorm Sandy and, more recently, the Texas floods. Since establishing its national network in 2011, Rescue Bank has delivered more that 150 million meals of nutritious, wholesome pet food.
