Today, all it takes is a single ill-advised tweet or vindictive post from an ex to derail your career [...] Everyone needs the power to understand and protect their reputation on the web.

BrandYourself.com a leading online reputation management company that provides tools & services to help people look better online, raised another $2 million to continue revolutionizing the online reputation & privacy space. The round is a mixture of new funds like FF Angel as well as existing investors.

While the company was not in need of raising investment -- they were profitable -- there was an opportunity to partner with investors who align with the vision of the company’s roadmap. Read more about CEO Patrick Ambron’s thoughts on the future of the online reputation & privacy industry here.

“We are all aware of the impact our online reputation can have on everything from job prospects to personal relationships, but few of us know how to control our digital footprint. BrandYourself.com makes it dead simple to monitor and manage what others see when they search for you.” Said Cyan Banister, Partner at FF Angel.

BrandYourself offers both a DIY platform as well as in-house services to help people create, monitor, improve, and protect their online presence. BrandYourself recently released a new feature that scans a user’s Facebook and Twitter and alerts them of damaging or potentially polarizing information, like swears, slurs, or mentions of alcohol, drugs, politics, religion, and more.

“We’ve only scratched the surface in the online reputation and privacy space” said BrandYourself Co-Founder & CEO Patrick Ambron. “Today, all it takes is a single ill-advised tweet or a vindictive post from an ex to derail your career. In an age of cyber bullying, revenge porn, hate sites, and inadequate online privacy laws, everyone needs the power to understand and protect their reputation on the web.”

Ambron says they will continue to make their tools more comprehensive, using machine-learning, natural language processing and image recognition to accurately identify items online that influence someone’s reputation.
