The co-located SAE 2016 All-Wheel Drive Symposium and SAE Transmission & Driveline Technologies Symposium announced that a Ride and Drive event will be held in partnership with the shows taking place October 17-19 in Ypsilanti, MI.

The Ride and Drive will take place October 19, at the Fowlerville Proving Ground.

The co-located SAE 2016 All-Wheel Drive Symposium and SAE Transmission & Driveline Technologies Symposium announced that a Ride and Drive event will be held in partnership with the shows taking place October 17-19 in Ypsilanti, MI.

The Ride and Drive will take place October 19, at the Fowlerville Proving Ground. All-Wheel Drive Symposium and Transmission & Driveline Technologies Symposium attendees are invited to register for Ride and Drive to experience new vehicles and technology firsthand on a variety of courses including the lane change area, low and middle µ tiles, slalom course, and off-road course. Attendees will gain first-hand knowledge of transmission, vehicle dynamics, ride and handling, and off-road capabilities.

In addition to the Ride and Drive event, the SAE 2016 All-Wheel Drive Symposium and Transmission & Driveline Technologies Symposium both offer outstanding technical programs. Both programs feature the Monday Opening Ceremony and keynote address from Dr. Robert Fischer, Executive Vice President at AVL List GmbH. Dr. Fischer will speak on Achieving Total Vehicle Efficiency at the Component Level. Additionally, the events share an executive panel featuring Michael P. Kirk from FCA US LLC, Ram Krishnaswami from Ford Motor Co., Ltd., Seth Metzger from Dana Holding Corp. and Christopher P. Thomas from BorgWarner which will also be held on Monday, October 17.
