Brooklyn Entrepreneur Launches Vote for the Girl to Help Elect America’s First Woman President

Vote for the Girl stands to empower women and girls around the world to get active politically and support the most qualified candidate for president, Hillary Clinton.

Interior designer and Brooklyn store owner, Susie Kurkowski, today announces the launch of Vote for the Girl (VFTG), an apparel company that declares support for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. This historical election is a monumental moment in history and a lot is at stake. VFTG aims to equip Hillary Clinton supporters and activists with outfits that arm them to make a statement that makes them proud. Proudly printed in the U.S.A., more than 30 stylish t-shirts from croptops to baseball tees and onesies are now available for purchase at http://www.voteforthegirl.com. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Kurkowski is a staunch Hillary Clinton supporter and entrepreneur who owns lifestyle boutique Items of Interest in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and comes from a very politically active family. Her father was the 2008 democratic nominee for New Jersey’s second congressional district. As a former attorney and 2008 graduate of the Women’s Campaign School at Yale, Kurkowski took an active role to increase the number and influence of women in elected office and top-level campaign positions in the United States and around the globe. She later earned her degree in interior design and became a member of the American Society of Interior Designers.

“Our daughters and granddaughters will open their history books and see the progression of male presidents thwarted by a feminine presence and they will see what women can accomplish. That may be enough to catch us up to other progressive countries and our moment is now,” says Susie Kurkowski, owner of VFTG. “Vote for the Girl stands to empower women and girls around the world to get active politically and support the most qualified candidate for president, Hillary Clinton.”

Apparel is available for purchase ranging from $22 to $28 at VotefortheGirl.com and select retailers. Customers may select from various sizes available for women, girls, men, boys, kids and toddlers. Each shirt is created to keep you cool and comfortable, made with 50 percent polyester, 25 percent rayon and 25 percent combed and ring-spun cotton. For every shirt purchased, VFTG will donate one dollar to the Hillary for America campaign until the November election.

Politically conscious citizens of the world may join VFTG on social media using hashtag #VFTG and #VotefortheGirl to share reasons why they’re supporting Hillary Clinton or post a picture in their VFTG outfit.
