Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) is excited to announce its new partnership with the Florida Alliance of Home Care Services (FAHCS). This agreement allows FAHCS members to receive special pricing on ACHC’s Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) Accreditation services, as well as discounts on Accreditation University (AU) educational resources that help prepare FAHCS members with ACHC Accreditation.

“ACHC is thrilled to partner with FAHCS to provide its members with accreditation services benefits and educational resources,” said Matt Hughes, ACHC Director, Business Management & Customer Service. “We look forward to working closely with FAHCS through this partnership and promoting to our Florida customers the importance of joining their state association.”

Established in January 2009, the Florida Alliance of Home Care Services (FAHCS) is the leading statewide organization dedicated to providers of home medical equipment and supplies and the patients they service.

“As always, we appreciate the support of our associate members; but it is an added bonus when our partners provide extra benefits, and that is what we have with ACHC. I have had the pleasure of working with ACHC since its beginning in DME Accreditation, and now that FAHCS is teamed up with ACHC, we all see a ‘Win-Win’ in our future,” said Beth Bowen, Executive Director.

The home care services industry provides an essential service to its patients through quality products and professional service. However, as seen repeatedly in the press, our industry has often been tarnished by dishonest activity. The FAHCS, led by a board of industry experts, maintains a high standard of advocacy to correct and eliminate this dishonest activity. As providers we fight to protect and preserve the integrity of our industry. We are working with providers and government agencies to take the offensive against fraudulent practices with the ultimate goal of completely eradicating unfair practices from our industry.

ACHC is a non-profit accreditation organization that has stood as a symbol of quality and excellence for 30 years. ACHC offers nationally recognized accreditation services for home health, hospice, and private duty agencies. The organization has Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Deeming Authority for Home Health, Hospice, and Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS), and a Quality Management System that is certified to ISO 9001:2008. ACHC’s consultative approach to accreditation is designed to improve the quality of patient care while enhancing business efficiencies through service-specific standards and industry-based best practices. Throughout the entire accreditation process, ACHC is dedicated to delivering the best possible experience.
