Author D.J. O'Bree writes memoir on how her marriage endured after devastating car accident, in new book

When I look back I realize that I was meant to be in that situation at that time and I know that we were strong enough as a couple to make it

“Through sickness and in health” is a commitment many make, but few keep. However, for author D.J. O’Bree and her husband this commitment became a way of life after a devastating car accident.

In her new book, “Single Skid,” author D.J. O’Bree has written her memoir telling the story of how a traumatic motorcycle accident left O’Bree’s husband in critical condition propelling them on a journey of strength and endurance. Though the couple was on, what might have seemed, an impossible journey, they were able to discover inner strength that guided them through the recovery process.

“During this time in our lives my husband and I turned many corners and pushed through difficult times,” said O’Bree. “When I look back I realize that I was meant to be in that situation at that time and I know that we were strong enough as a couple to make it.”

Throughout the recovery process author D.J O’Bree worked with her husband, Doc, in recovering from injuries and memory loss resulting from a serious motorcycle accident.

Through “Single Skid,” O’Bree hopes to inspire others in similar situations to discover the fund of inner strength, and how it can provide healing in times of hardship.
