ASHEVILLE, NC (PRWEB) October 05, 2016 -- Real Recovery welcomes Sarah Hollis to their treatment team. Hollis is a licensed professional counselor and clinical addiction specialist, and she began her position as clinical coordinator on July 25, 2016.
In her new role, Hollis develops and oversees the clinical programing at Real Recovery, ensuring that the core principles and treatment approaches are carried out in all aspects of programming. Hollis also assesses and treats mental health, addictions and complex trauma, interacts with stakeholders to familiarize them with clinical programming and provides in-service training.
“I am honored to be joining the Real Recovery team, because I have always admired their adventure-based recovery model for young adult men,” Hollis said. “I am also excited to be able to help Real Recovery communicate to the therapeutic community the clinical practices that have been in place for years, as well as help them develop more clinical treatment approaches and services throughout the program so we can become the best recovery program available for young adult men.”
Hollis attended Georgia State University and graduated in 2010 with a master’s degree in professional counseling. Hollis comes to Real Recovery from RE Counseling and Consulting, LLC., where she served as the sole practitioner and offered counseling and consulting services. Hollis brings almost 10 years of counseling and addiction treatment experience to her new role. Hollis has been trained in somatic therapeutic interventions such as EMDR and stress, tension and trauma release (TRE) and will be a certified TRE provider by winter 2017.
Hollis’ certifications include Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist through the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board and Licensed Professional Counselor through the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.
