International think tank and startup advisory firm to join forces with innovation platform for startups, corporations and investors

Think tank and innovation advisor Fung Global Retail & Technology has formed an alliance with Plug and Play Tech Center that will help the former source and introduce new and innovative technologies related to retail and fashion, announced Deborah Weinswig, Managing Director of Fung Global Retail & Technology.

The partnership will give Fung Global Retail & Technology the opportunity to participate as speakers and judges in some 300 Plug and Play EXPOs, at which more than 40 companies offer three-minute presentations in front of panels consisting of corporate executives and leading venture capitalists.

Plug and Play Tech Center reviews startups and operates industry-specific accelerator programs focusing on the Internet of Things, financial technology, retail, health and wellness, new materials and packaging, mobility, travel and hospitality, insurance and media, and conducts more than 365 networking events annually. In addition, the firm offers office space to, and as an investor works with 180 Silicon Valley venture capital partners and 300 corporate partners to license, pilot and co-invest in promising technology firms. Among its early investments have been PayPal, Dropbox and Google.
