Event helps to raise funds through sport for diabetes research and community programs while providing diabetes education and resources to the public.

Andrews Federal Credit Union is a proud sponsor of Game On, Greater Washington (GOGW), a one-of-a-kind health, wellness and extreme sports event hosted by the American Diabetes Association in partnership with the Washington Redskins.

The event, held on October 22 at FedEx Field in Landover, MD, includes biking, running, walking and other activities, all in an effort to raise money to prevent diabetes and improve the lives of those living with the disease in the Greater DC Metro region and beyond.

“We are excited to sponsor an event in our local community that brings education and awareness about diabetes, as well as provides a wealth of resources on healthy living,” said Andrews Federal’s Tameyka Whitney, Market Development Manager. “Physical and financial health are equally important, and we are glad to be able to contribute to such a worthy cause.”

The purpose of GOGW is to bring together individuals, organizations and companies in the District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland to raise funds through sport for diabetes research and community programs while providing diabetes education and resources to the public.
