Rowell Auctions, Inc. announces the upcoming auction of a Historic Landmark in Georgia.

“The opportunity to purchase a historic property of this nature at auction can be a great investment,” says David C. Hart.

Rowell Auctions, Inc. has been commissioned to sell an Acworth Historic Landmark at auction. Originally built in 1858, the Cowan House now features 2,939 sq. ft. of fully renovated historic office space. The Plantation Plain-type home was built on the original 1,200 acre Cowan family farmstead and survived occupation by the Union troops of General Sherman during the Civil War. The home was designated as an Acworth Historic Landmark in 1998 and was later placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The home was converted to an office, currently situated on 1.7 acres, in 2009. The property owners renovated the main structure to maintain the property’s historic character, while adding modern energy efficient measures.

Located at 4940 Cowan Rd. Acworth, GA 30101, the Cowan House is conveniently situated a half mile off of I-75 near the newly constructed Cabela’s. The property features a 1,728 sq. ft. climate controlled outbuilding with a bathroom, original heart pine floors, energy efficient double pane windows, new duel zone HVAC, wiring, plumbing, and more.

All bidding for the online auction event will close Thursday, November 17th at 2pm EST. Contact the auctioneer with any questions on the upcoming sale by calling direct at (800) 323-8388. For more information regarding the property and terms of the sale, please visit:
