Adding a running clock and real-time scoring information into our cloud-based Broadcast Management System helps teams keep viewers informed and entertained in a way that is virtually unsurpassed.

HockeyTech, the worldwide leader in providing hockey-related technologies, analytics, and information services, today announced deeper integration between two of its core services – HockeyTV, the definitive destination to watch hockey online, and LeagueStat, the world’s leading hockey stats and scoring service, to deliver a statistically-enhanced broadcast experience.

HockeyTech continues to execute its vision of integrating features and functionality across product lines in their suite of services, which include HockeyTV and LeagueStat in addition to RinkNet, ISS Hockey, and HockeyTech Testing. While cross-service integrations continue at HockeyTech, the latest major integration is now available – running clocks on league websites, team websites, and integrated into the proprietary cloud-based overlay system of HockeyTV broadcasts.

HockeyTV subscribers tuning in to broadcasts will notice the HockeyTV live scorebar overlay powered by a LeagueStat running clock which pulls real-time information directly from the LeagueStat service. This information is delivered to the audience in sync with the on-ice action, presenting continuously updating stats to HockeyTV viewers in a TV-quality broadcast experience.

“Our goal has always been to provide viewers with the best digital hockey experience we can offer,” said Marc Ruskin, President of HockeyTech. “Adding a running clock and real-time scoring information into our cloud-based Broadcast Management System helps teams keep viewers informed and entertained in a way that is virtually unsurpassed.”

HockeyTech is continuing to break down previously siloed services by fostering meaningful integrations within their ecosystem. Their most-recent integration represents another user experience enhancement as the company accelerates their unified service offerings.

“The HockeyTV integration with LeagueStat represents the culmination of many months of improving the extensibility and scalability of our services,” said Cary Moretti, CTO of HockeyTech. “As excited as we are about the HockeyTV live scorebar overlay powered by a LeagueStat running clock, we’re even more excited about the new HockeyTech cross-service features and functionality we’ll be rolling out in the coming weeks and months.”

HockeyTV offers hockey scouts, recruiters, coaches, players, and fans the ability to view elite hockey on virtually any device. Many games are broadcast in high-definition, and users can select between home and away feeds for many of those broadcasts. Game footage – from single plays to complete games – can be watched live or on-demand via a subscription or by tapping into each league’s free Game of the Week.
