BlueTreeDigital, a digital marketing agency based in Northern Virginia, has been recognized as a Gold winner in the 2017 AVA Digital Awards for their work on behalf of Egg Donor Central, specifically for Marketing to Millennials. The international awards recognize excellence by creative professionals responsible for the planning, concept, direction, design, and production of digital communication.
Egg Donor Central is the donation arm for Fairfax EggBank, a frozen egg bank based in Northern Virginia that assists infertile couples. In an effort to attract more young women willing to be egg donors, Fairfax EggBank worked with BlueTreeDigital to create a new web site and an overall digital marketing campaign aimed at Millennial women.
As part of this effort, BlueTreeDigital designed and developed a new website aimed at potential donors, including a new blog and SEO strategies to help the site be found more quickly by potential donors.
BlueTreeDigital's team also crafted a multifaceted marketing campaign that used AdWords, internet radio (including Spotify and Pandora), college outreach, and strategic media buying to reach the Millennial target. Social media, including Facebook and Instagram, also played an integral part in the campaign. The campaign paid special attention to attracting diverse women, to meet the needs of infertile couples from a wide range of backgrounds in search of egg donors.

By January 2016, Egg Donor Central reported a 2,590% increase in accepted applications to become egg donors, as compared to April of 2015. Throughout this time, they consistently exceeded their monthly goals for accepted applications. In 2016, they averaged a 17.6% conversion rate on Facebook campaigns for donor applications and ended the year with a 21.09% conversion rate for applications in December.
The AVA Digital Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, and media production professionals.
