Straub Construction, Inc. has been awarded the contract for the Esencia K-8 School for the Capistrano Unified School District which includes the construction of a 14 acre campus with 7 individual buildings located in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA as part of the master plan development of Rancho Mission Viejo.

Straub Construction, Inc. has been awarded the contract for the Esencia K-8 School for the Capistrano Unified School District which includes the construction of a 14 acre campus with 7 individual buildings located in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA as part of the master plan development of Rancho Mission Viejo. The new school will provide more than 72,000 sq. ft. of new learning space. The new Esencia K-8 campus will also include playground areas; staff and visitor parking areas; outdoor shade structures; hardcourts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, handball, tetherball, and foursquare; athletic fields; landscaping; fencing; hardscape; and areas for future expansion. A new kitchen will be provided for the preparation of student meals along with a student library. The 8th grade facility will also include a science and laboratory area for applicable research and study.

The $27,569,000 project is slated for completion in July 2018.
