Brewery Alumni to Gather, Pour & Raise Money to Honor Greg Noonan

Magic Hat and the Vermont Brewers Association (VBA) have announced plans to host a kickoff party in honor of American Craft Beer Week® on Saturday, May 13th, from 6-9pm at The Magic Hat Brewery and Artifactory® in South Burlington. Magic Hat has been busy getting the band back together, so to speak, as this event will feature guest taps, including former Magic Hat brewers now working at breweries across the state. Proceeds from pints purchased will benefit the VBA in memory of the late craft beer pioneer and VBA founder, Greg Noonan. The kickoff party will be free to attend, is open to the public, and will showcase live music by Lowell Thompson and Food Truck eats by White Buffalo.

Old Friends Reunite Over New Beers
The Green Mountain Beer Week kickoff party will feature several former Magic Hat employees who are now integral pieces of breweries up and down the Green Mountain State. Magic Hat will be offering up pours of their VT-Only pilot batch beers, as well as a special cask ale collaboration brewed by Magic Hat and VBA staff. Other breweries set to offer their excellence, and perhaps a few tales of yore once the beers get flowing, are:

  •     14th Star Brewing – St. Albans
  •     Queen City Brewery – Burlington
  •     River Roost Brewery – White River Junction
  •     Trapp Family Lodge – Stowe
  •     Zero Gravity Craft Brewery – Burlington
  •     Rock Art Brewery – Morrisville
