Richard Bettez, a pastor, and former design professional, group home director, and martial arts instructor, has completed his new book “Discerning Our Time: A Layman's Guide About America in End Time Prophecy”: an enlightening juxtaposition of the end-time prophesies in the historical Bible with the social, political, educational, and economic state of affairs in America today.
Richard shares, “This book was written for believers and unbelievers, scholars and street people, college students and struggling high school students. Its design is to inform with truth and historical background, but ultimately it will be left up to the reader to come to a conclusion. I believe I have a solid insight on what elements, people, and environments that will come together in the near future to cumulate into biblical end-time events. The books and teachings on end-time events are vast; some are excellent others are nonsense but I avoided getting involved in reading specific books on the book of Revelation, the Tribulation, or the Rapture in the months leading up to my writing of this book. I have read my share on end-time events over the years but have found my own personal studies under my pastor in recent years are what truly opened up my heart for this book. I am certain I have veered off toward my own path in some minor areas throughout the book, but that was simply God the Holy Spirit grabbing the wheel. Again, I stress the views in this book reflect what I truly believe and what my research has opened up to me, so no other man is at fault or due tribute for this book except God and me.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Richard Bettez’s book is a provocative analysis of biblical apocalyptic prophesies in the modern context.
