Treasure Data Clients Can Work at the Speed of Business in Europe Under Privacy Shield

“At Treasure Data, we want our clients to stay ahead of ever-changing security requirements, like EU’s Privacy Shield, so they can continue to conduct business as usual without any setbacks,” says Kip James, Treasure Data’s CISO.

Treasure Data, the leading cloud platform to make all data connected, current, and easily accessible, today announced the expansion of the company’s security compliance program to meet the European Union’s Privacy Shield framework, allowing clients to securely use customer data internationally to improve and pivot processes and programs. This implementation is the latest in Treasure Data’s commitment to exceeding global client privacy expectations, as well as industry standards, when working with customer data.

The EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework was created to provide companies the mechanism to comply with data protection requirements when transferring data, and is an update to the EU’s previous “Safe Harbor” framework. By complying with Privacy Shield, Treasure Data allows clients to manage and analyze customer data across the Atlantic, key for international companies to develop business intelligence, modify marketing programs, and more.

“For the last 4 years, Pioneer has been working with Treasure Data to help clients in the automotive industries use customer data to reward safe driving,” said Ronan McDonagh, General Manager of Car Multimedia Technology Planning at Pioneer Europe. “I am pleased to see Treasure Data make major progress on customer data security and privacy.”

Treasure Data continues to stay ahead of security compliance for cloud data management. The company recently received an ISO 27001 certification and is implemented the ISO 31000 framework for the Risk Management Program, ensuring that Treasure Data is moving beyond just meeting industry standards needed for today’s global companies working with customer data. And as more enterprises adopt multiple cloud-based services to manage their global data and customer base, there is increasing need from the world’s largest vendors for the data management flexibility and cloud security compliance that Treasure Data offers (Gartner).

“As more Europe-based enterprises adopt cloud infrastructures, they are quickly realizing that there is no one-size-fits-all solution in order to best serve their data needs, while also minding the strict security data regulations that each country enforces,” says Kip James, Treasure Data’s CISO. “At Treasure Data, we want our clients to stay ahead of ever-changing security requirements, like EU’s Privacy Shield, so they can continue to conduct business as usual without any setbacks.”

Recently, Treasure Data announced its newest Treasure Workflow, allowing the first multi-cloud data workflow manager enable enterprises to better integrate and analyze data from stores across their organizations and put into one process automation and pipeline engine.
