Gary W. Thomas, a theologian and minister currently working on his second novel, has completed his new book “The Lisa Jones Story: A Thin Line Between Love and Lust”: a sobering tale centered on the destructive effects of poor decision-making regarding relationships and promiscuity.
“Lust can change your very thoughts and cause you to do things you probably never dreamed of. The Lisa Jones Story … will emphasize all the wrong ways to deal with lustful desires, and how you in your own power can fail to make things right.
It’s my prayer that this book will help people to keep from falling into the trap of holding on to the wrong done to them in the past, being destroyed by it the way Lisa Jones has in this jaw dropping, heart moving, and tear-jerking novel. The strong hold that lust has on Lisa’s life begins when her cousin Mark invites her over to play checkers with him, but forces her into having sex with him instead. She doesn’t realize that while having sexual intercourse with Mark, the spirit of lust in him had transferred itself into her, confusing her heart. At seventeen Lisa chooses her first boyfriend, Curtis Smith, through the eyes of lust. He turns her on to drugs, alcohol, and prostitution. Lisa is tricked out by Curtis to drug dealers in exchange for drugs that he and Lisa use to get high. Not only does Lisa become addicted to drugs, sex, and alcohol, but she has also become a victim of domestic violence. This book will make you cry, piss you off, inspire you, and hopefully make you aware of the spirit of lust that has destroyed so many lives. I pray that this book helps capture the lives of those that are affected because of decisions made when lust takes control! There is ‘A Thin Line Between Love and Lust!’”
