MASS DRIVE CLEAN is the nation’s first state-sponsored electric vehicle test drive campaign aimed at promoting the proliferation of electric vehicles.

MASS DRIVE CLEAN, in conjunction with National Grid, the Worcester CleanTech Incubator (WCTI) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), will host an event for “National Drive Electric Week,” a weeklong global event to raise awareness of the benefits of electric vehicles. National Drive Electric was started in 2011 as a single day event and has grown to a global level with over 200 events in nine different countries.
This event will be held Wednesday, September 13th from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the WPI Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center at 60 Prescott St. Worcester, MA.
At the event, participants can test-drive electric vehicles from Ford, BMW, Chevrolet, and other auto makers, ride electric bicycles and enjoy dinner and dessert from food vendors. There will be a small sustainability fair with information available for incentives from the MOR-EV program and other federal programs. Speakers at the event will include:

The Executive Office of Energy & Environmental Affairs, MassDEP, and National Grid created MASS DRIVE CLEAN to introduce residents in Massachusetts to electric vehicles. MASS DRIVE CLEAN is the nation’s first state-sponsored electric vehicle test drive campaign aimed at promoting the proliferation of electric vehicles. Through numerous events since 2016, the campaign has introduced thousands of residents to the advantages of driving electric.
WCTI is a community for people to design, build and deploy their products to market. Our focus is to support the transition from start-up to scale-up. We provide tools to develop, test, and iterate product designs with the facilities to assemble inventories for initial market penetration, while building relationships with contract manufacturers, channel partners and investors to enable scalability.
