Planet Wings, a pioneer in the fast casual chicken industry, has been working to update the image of its brand. The 24-unit chain’s re-brand includes a new sleek logo and branding package, remodeled stores, and marketing materials. Long gone are the bright neon colors; instead customers walk into an environment splashed with reds, oranges and a modernized theme. The change marks the first revamp to the company since their original restaurant opened in 1995.

    The first two fully rebranded restaurants recently opened. By the end of the year, all seven of the company’s corporate stores will be remodeled, with the existing franchised restaurants following close behind. “After 23 years, we knew it was time to make a significant change to stay relevant within the market place, especially since we are now franchising nationwide. In turn, we’ve been very pleased with the customer feedback over the past year,” said Planet Wings’ CEO, Franco Fidanza.

    Other changes have been implemented within the company, along with their menu, which features a wide variety of food items including chicken wings, sandwiches, salads, burgers, cheesesteaks and Mexican options. In a continuing effort to stay committed to their rebrand, owners Franco and Paula Fidanza, have brought on new team members in the areas of operations, franchising and marketing. “In order for a brand to stay relevant, it needs to constantly evolve, if a brand stays in one place for too long, it will get run over by the competition,” revealed Gary Occhiogrosso, Managing Partner o f Franchise Growth Solutions, who has been charged with the responsibility of growing the Planet Wings franchise nationwide.

Franchise Owner, Alex Cabraie, has expressed his support of Planet Wings’ changes. “The rebranding makes our restaurants appealing to a wider audience. I feel it’s more interesting and people want to the be in the restaurant,” Cabraie expressed. “Customers love it, they see us as cool and modern looking.”
