Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) customers helped fight cancer this summer raising more than $42,000 for the Jimmy Fund through the annual A Chance for Kids & Families® fundraiser.
This summer marked the fourth year that VIOC has participated in the fundraiser and was the most successful to date. Since 2014, VIOC has raised nearly $100,000 for the Jimmy Fund to support patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
“We are excited our employees and customers got so involved this year,” said Don Smith, CEO of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee. “The Jimmy Fund has long been a pillar in our community, and the work they do to support cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is remarkable.” Henley Enterprises, Inc. operates 48 New England Valvoline Instant Oil Change locations.
“We are proud to partner with Valvoline for their support in this fundraising program,” said David Giagrando, assistant vice president, Corporate Partnerships, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Division of Development & the Jimmy Fund. “Each year we are amazed and humbled by the franchisees and their customers’ generosity towards the Jimmy Fund and helping families who face a cancer diagnosis.”
