Based on feedback from Skuid customers, employees, and the industry, I am convinced that Skuid is poised to truly transform the world of enterprise software-as-a-service.

Today Skuid announced the hire of Kevin Francis as executive vice president of sales. As the senior leader of the Skuid sales team, Francis will be at the helm of one of the hottest tech startups in the world. Recently named a Red Herring 100 winner and proclaimed the best enterprise-level SaaS product by The SaaS Awards, Skuid has been on a steep growth trajectory since it launched in 2013.
Kevin Francis has a strong history of success in the software industry. He joins Skuid after more than eight years of sales and alliances leadership at Workday, Inc., where he helped the company grow across multiple geographies and verticals, including Asia Pacific. Prior to Workday, Francis spent over 12 years at Oracle, where he held various sales and sales leadership positions, including his last role as a regional vice president of CRM sales.
“Skuid has all three ingredients for massive success in enterprise software,” says Francis. “You need a great company culture, a wildly innovative product, and the ability to define and lead a massive new category. Based on feedback from Skuid customers, employees, and the industry, I am convinced that Skuid is poised to truly transform the world of enterprise software-as-a-service. I’m very excited to have the opportunity to join them at the beginning of this digital metamorphosis.”
“We seem to have struck a very loud chord by solving several of the industry’s biggest pain points,” stated Ken McElrath, Skuid cofounder and CEO. “Skuid brings personalization to enterprise apps that were rather generic in the past. The platform brings unprecedented speed to app development by eliminating massive amounts of unnecessary code. And simplified front-end design brings innovation to every area of the business, because anyone can design, assemble, and adapt applications—not just developers. Kevin is joining us at just the right time as Skuid prepares to explode onto the global enterprise software scene.”
Skuid was founded in 2013 on the simple belief that enterprise software should stop forcing people to behave like machines. Instead, apps should behave more like the humans who use them, so everyone can thrive in the digital world. With Skuid’s simple-to-use but incredibly robust cloud front-end design-and-deploy platform, anyone can connect to disparate data sources, assemble highly complex, beautiful, bespoke applications, and instantly make changes—all without writing code. More than 5 million users across 32 countries use Skuid to engage with each other, with data, and with new customers in meaningful ways.
