This series has been made with excellence and professionalism, and our team is gratified to see that we have earned both the recognition and active support of our state.

VidAngel, the market-leading entertainment platform empowering users to filter language, nudity, violence, and other content from movies and TV series on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO—using modern streaming platforms such as iOS, Android, and ROKU—launched its new platform in June 2017. VidAngel’s recent success has been largely due to original content from VidAngel Studios, which launched in January 2017.

The company’s signature original series, Dry Bar Comedy, is the top performing series among subscribers, and now comprises the largest collection of clean, family-friendly stand-up comedy in the world. Five of the top ten titles on VidAngel are Dry Bar Comedy episodes, surpassing House of Cards, The Office, and even Game of Thrones.

Today, VidAngel is announcing that it has commenced filming Dry Bar Comedy: Season Two, with live performances every Friday and Saturday evening through September 29th at VidAngel Studio’s headquarters in Provo, Utah. The new series will feature such comedians as Kevin Bozeman, Dennis Regan, Dwayne Perkins, and Zoltan Kaszas, who have also appeared on HBO, Netflix, The Tonight Show, The Late Show, and Comedy Central.

“We’re honored that the board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development selected Dry Bar Comedy as one of only seven new projects to receive state incentives through its Utah Film Commission. This series has been made with excellence and professionalism, and our team is gratified to see that we have earned both the recognition and active support of our state,” said VidAngel CEO Neal Harmon. “Dry Bar is a popular, weekly event for Utahns, with live tapings nearly always sold out, and fans lining the streets waiting to get in. Comedians love working with us on this series. They enjoy the challenge of doing a clean set, and benefit both from the tips they earn from VidAngel customers and from royalties with no caps or expiration date. In fact, an artist has the potential to earn more with us than with most of our competitors. We believe the State of Utah sees value in this project because it will continue to grow and benefit so many in the state, as well as those who come to visit.”

The Utah Film Commission recently announced its support for Dry Bar Comedy, giving VidAngel a tax credit to help bring clean comedy to Utah, in a press release issued in June. VidAngel will begin filming Season Two immediately, with new episodes available on the platform beginning on Sept 1st. For tickets to a live show, or for more information, visit Dry Bar Comedy.
