The innovators at Aesthetics Biomedical, a leading aesthetics device development, and innovation corporation announce that Dr. Emil A. Tanghetti, Center for Dermatology and Laser Surgery, has been named to the company’s KOIN: Knowledge Opinion Innovation Network. Dr. Tanghetti is well-respected board certified dermatologist with a very successful practice in Sacramento, California. Dr. Tanghetti is a recent fan of Aesthetics Biomedical’s leading product, The Vivace microneedling with radio frequency. Aesthetics Biomedical launched the best in class device, The Vivace, in early 2016.
The goal of KOIN is to bring together the most trusted dermatologists, plastic surgeons, and aesthetics practitioners to provide input to the company’s new product and experience offerings, to participate in clinical studies and to educate other physicians on best practices with Aesthetics Biomedical’s devices and experience products.
“Our position as a leader in innovation relies on the valuable feedback and expertise of the physicians with whom we work. We value learning about their experiences with our products as well as their patients’ outcomes and preferences. We are thrilled to have Dr. Tanghetti as part of our KOIN. Dr. Tanghetti is extremely knowledgeable in RF microneedling technologies, and we are excited to have him join the ranks of Vivace Champion and advocate of ABM. We have carefully selected our team of influencers to be part of KOIN, and we are honored to have highly respected physicians as our partners for the future,” says MaryAnn Guerra, CEO of Aesthetics Biomedical.
Dr. Emil A. Tanghetti attended U.C. Davis, where he excelled in his studies and received early admission to UCLA School of Medicine after only three years of undergraduate studies. Upon completing his medical studies and a one-year pathology fellowship, Dr. Tanghetti graduated first in his class and received the Dean Warren medal for academic excellence. After finishing residencies in internal medicine at Stanford University and dermatology at Harvard School of Medicine, he completed a photo-medicine fellowship at the Wellman Labs at the Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Tanghetti is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is currently listed in the “Best Doctors in America” Pacific region and recognized as “Top Doc” by his peers in Sacramento magazine. Dr. Tanghetti has received the “Hero In Health Care” award for his volunteer work in removing tattoos for the California Youth Authority.
Dr. Tanghetti has been active in clinical studies for more than a decade. His research interests have focused on laser surgery, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, photo aging and acne vulgaris. His work has been published in journals such as Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, The Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, and Cutis. He has also recently been named to the editorial board of Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. Dr. Tanghetti has presented data at the meetings of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology and Laser Innsbruck, and is an internationally recognized speaker and consultant. He is a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and a member of the California Medical Association, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Dermatology.
“The Vivace provides a great compliment to the other devices in my practice. For treating issues such as skin laxity in the neck and solar elastosis, The Vivace is quickly becoming an important treatment option for my patients. The clinical data on The Vivace is impressive. Additionally, in my initial research prior to purchasing the device, the strong testimonials from my colleagues validates both the data and the return-on-investment from the device. I would certainly recommend The Vivace to those looking for a best-in-class Microneedling RF device. From our investigation and discussions with other thought leaders in the field, I feel like I made the right choice for my practice,” says Dr. Tanghetti.
KOIN members will additionally represent Aesthetics Biomedical at industry events and workshops, speak at tradeshows and conferences, write scientific papers and participate in clinical trials. They are available to talk with potential clients of ABM to answer questions about their experiences with ABM devices and products.
To date, six members have been named to KOIN and the advisory group will likely grow to approximately ten members.
