The Entrepreneurs’ Organization’s Washington, DC Chapter (EO DC), is pleased to host the regional Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) competition for student entrepreneurs on Wednesday, November 15, 2017.

EO GSEA is the premier global competition for student entrepreneurs who actively run a business. EO GSEA nominees compete in qualifying competitions for the chance to advance to the Global Finals, with more than 1,700 competitors from more than 50 countries, EO GSEA is an exclusive opportunity for student entrepreneurs to make connections, find resources, and grow their businesses.

Steve Case, best known as the co-founder and former chief executive officer and chairman of America Online (AOL) will deliver a fireside chat after the competition with EO DC members in attendance.

Since his retirement as chairman of AOL Time Warner in 2003, Case has gone on to invest in early and growth-stage startups through his Washington, D.C.-based venture capital firm Revolution LLC. Case authored The Third Wave: An Entrepreneur's Vision of the Future, which became a New York Times bestselling book in 2016.

“The students in this competition are amazing entrepreneurs, and it’s impressive to see the dedication and passion they each bring to the competition while still active in their universities,” stated EO DC President Marsha Ralls. “The students represent the future business leaders of tomorrow and we are proud to be a part of their entrepreneurial journey and business opportunity. Steve Case contributing remarks in a fireside chat only validates the impact this awards ceremony provides.”

Ten students from this region will be competing on November 15th, and the winner of the event will represent the Washington, DC region at the US Finals in Feb 2018.
