I’m excited to be at the forefront of such innovation in our sector. I’m thrilled to join this team—we’re gonna make waves!
DALLAS (PRWEB) November 16, 2017
Pursuant, a full-service fundraising agency serving nonprofit organizations, is excited to announce Taylor Shanklin has joined our team as Vice President of Product Marketing & Strategy. Taylor is an accomplished and energetic nonprofit technology thought leader with a solid history of achievement in leading implementation teams, marketing programs, and product vision.
As Vice President of Product Marketing & Strategy, Taylor will drive vision, messaging, awareness, and go-to-market strategy for our technology and professional services products. She will work to introduce organizations to our products, guide product development, ensure ongoing market relevancy, foster community among our brands, and oversee the execution of best-in-class events and conferences.
“What drew me to Pursuant was the people, their approach to fundraising, and the opportunity to innovate and make analytics and insights more accessible to nonprofits,” Shanklin said. “Nonprofit organizations have a lot of data but it’s often difficult to digest and understand the stories behind the data, to in turn drive fundraising strategy. Pursuant is changing that with its hands-on, data-driven approach and I’m excited to be at the forefront of such innovation in our sector. I’m thrilled to join this team—we’re gonna make waves!”
Taylor has been working in nonprofit technology for over 10 years and has worked with hundreds of organizations, both large and small. Prior to joining the Pursuant team, Shanklin served as Director of Product Marketing & Marketing Strategy at Kimbia, Inc., where she drove product marketing, corporate marketing programs, content marketing, and strategic partnerships. She also previously served as Chief Operations Officer at RaiseMore, a mobile fundraising start-up. Her career in nonprofit technology began at Convio, Inc., where she held roles within client services and continued her tenure with the company at Blackbaud working in both client services and product marketing.
In addition to her day job, Taylor is the mind behind Hacks for Good, a passion project where she brings the ideology of growth hacking to the nonprofit sector. She built Hacks for Good entirely from scratch with the mission of empowering charities to adopt a growth mindset and use the tools and tricks of the for-profit space.
“Taylor brings a wealth of knowledge about nonprofit technology and product marketing to Pursuant. But more importantly, she is passionate and dedicated to equipping nonprofits with the right solutions to meet their needs,” said Pursuant CEO Trent Ricker. “Taylor will be a tremendous addition to our team, enabling us to better connect our products with the organizations that can benefit from them the most.”
A lifelong Austinite (born and bred in Austin, Texas), Taylor currently lives in the area with her husband, Daniel, and their two young children. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas State University with an M.A. in Mass Communication, and also holds a B.A. in English from University of Texas at Austin.
