“A natural disaster can have a tremendous impact on schools and those teaching in them. We are grateful to Thirty-One Gifts and honored to help restore a sense of normalcy to these Florida teachers and students, by providing school supplies they so desperately need.”
MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) November 16, 2017
The Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) is honored to partner with Thirty-One Gifts to present a special “Thirty-One Gifts Teacher Shopping Day” event benefitting teachers and students across the state of Florida on Thursday, Nov. 16, and Thursday, Nov. 30, at various Kids In Need Foundation Teacher Resource Centers throughout the state.
The event will provide approximately 20,000 Thirty-One Gifts backpacks (valued at $1,030,000) filled with school supplies for students to teachers across Florida who were affected by Hurricane Irma. Kids In Need Foundation is proud to distribute all 20,000 backpacks through their network of resource centers, to help these deserving teachers move forward following the devastating hurricane.
The Kids In Need Foundation ensures every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies nationally to students and teachers most in need. The Kids In Need Foundation has distributed more than $900 million in supplies to children who would otherwise go without.
“We want to thank Thirty-One Gifts for their generous donation of backpacks, and for partnering with us to host ‘Thirty-One Gifts Teacher Shopping Day,’” said Dave Smith, executive director of The Kids In Need Foundation. “A natural disaster can have a tremendous impact on schools and those teaching in them. We are honored to help restore a sense of normalcy to these Florida teachers and students, by providing school supplies they so desperately need.”
“We’re very pleased to be able to support the teachers of Florida who’ve been affected by the hurricane,” said Thirty-One Gifts Founder & CEO Cindy Monroe. “Two of our greatest values are giving back to communities where our independent sales consultants live and work, and partnering with nonprofits that support and strengthen girls, women and families. We have thousands of sales consultants in Florida, and this outreach is a great match for us. We feel blessed to be able to share our good fortune with teachers at this time of need.”
During the recovery period following a devastation, KINF’s Second Responder® program works with local authorities, schools and select sponsors to help communities, students and educators return to normal routines.
