InventHelp Inventor Develops Improved Spike Strip for Car Chases

A clean arrest is usually performed by police officers quickly and in a way that does not allow the criminal in question to cause unnecessary damage to his or her surroundings. One longstanding problem associated with apprehending criminals involves car chases, which can lead to further damage or injury to innocent bystanders and typically extend the time it takes to pull off the arrest.

An inventor from Klamath Falls, Ore., has invented patent-pending DRAG NET TIRE HOOK, a portable tire-puncturing and wheel-jamming device for police to stop a criminal involved in a high-speed chase. "I invented this device to improve safety. I am a trucker and spend a lot of time on the road," said the inventor. "I saw a car chase with my own eyes and often see them in the news." DRAG NET TIRE HOOK immediately stops a criminal’s car, unlike traditional spike strips that just puncture the tires and still allows the criminal to drive off on the metal rims. It enables a police officer to quickly stop and apprehend a suspect in a controlled manner, reducing the risk of a dangerous high-speed collision with another unsuspecting motorist or pedestrians.

This invention helps defuse potentially volatile situations and greatly increases the chances of capturing criminals. Because it allows for swift apprehension of the suspect while also maintaining a high level of safety, it reduces the risk of injury or death to innocent people.
