Brad Schmett, of Brad Schmett Real Estate Group and Keller Williams Realty, announced today that the 29th Annual Palm Springs Film Festival, to be held from January 2-15, 2018 at multiple locations across the Coachella Valley will be a huge boost for Palm Springs area real estate as thousands arrived in the Coachella Valley for the glamorous signature event, and a chance to add to their real estate portfolios.

Schmett recently commented, "The film festival is arguably our most prestigious and world-famous signature event here in the Valley. It always brings in a huge crowd of celebrities and celebrity watchers who enjoy all the rare amenities we have to offer in the amazing Coachella Valley. From charming weekend vacation enclaves to palatial, ultra-luxurious private estates, we really do have it all. My Team and I are excited to be meeting so many new friends and clients during the festival as we show off our impressive inventory of spectacular homes.”

On Tuesday, January 2, the Black-Tie Film Awards Gala will be the kickoff event at the Palm Springs Convention Center. Last year’s event was drenched in glitterati and included honorees such as Annette Bening, Casey Affleck, Natalie Portman, Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, and many more. On Wednesday, January 3 the festival’s “Power of Words: Book to Screen” program will be on deck followed by a two-week film industry fusion of all things cinema and Hollywood. Film screenings will commence on January 4 with an opening night event held at the Richards Center for the Arts and followed by a Gala soirée at the Palm Springs Art Museum.

Film screenings and events will be held at multiple venues across the valley, with advance ticketing and reservations an absolute must due to the extreme popularity of the film festival and limited seating. The Palm Springs International Film Society is a 501(c)(3) charitable non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and promote the art and science of film through education and cross-cultural awareness, according to their published mission statement.
