BOCA RATON, Fla. (PRWEB) January 09, 2018
The fast-growing edtech company, Honorlock, Inc., announced today that higher education executive, Tim Gilbert, has joined as chief operating officer (COO). Prior to Honorlock, Gilbert led strategy and acquisitions at Campus Management Corp., and its global growth into a top-three ERP systems provider. He went on to helm operational and strategic posts at Kaplan, Inc. and Bryant & Stratton Colleges. Gilbert also is an IBM alum.
“Tim brings the best of both worlds,” stated Adam Roth, CEO and co-founder of the proctoring technology start-up. “He can help ensure superior delivery and support for our customers as Honorlock continues its growth in the U.S. and abroad. Tim has been a hands-on entrepreneur, he has run the administration of college campuses on a day-to-day basis, and he’s taken tech firms through growth on a global scale.”
Honorlock provides postsecondary schools with patented technology for virtual proctoring. Institutions like Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University and Utah State University use Honorlock to ensure that test-takers stay in bounds while online. Honorlock’s patented system guards against browsing to find answers during a test, using mobile devices while taking an exam, and other innovations to preserve academic integrity.
“This is a singular and disruptive technology,” Gilbert said of Honorlock. “Honorlock takes proctoring to entirely new levels of consistency and efficiency. It keeps an honest person honest, and it can work across an entire institution, or be configured to suit an individual instructor’s rules of the road.”
The post of COO is new to Honorlock. Gilbert’s duties will include operations, annual and strategic planning, and customer service for Honorlock. Gilbert holds degrees from The University of Wisconsin-Madison, The Johns Hopkins University, and Regis University.
