Just before the close of 2017, Adolfson & Peterson Construction (AP) along with architect DLR Group announced the groundbreaking for a new 50,000-sf Englewood Police Station Headquarters. The new facility will be a replacement for the current police station which was built in 1972.
The new police station will more than double the current 19,000-sf building and will include a multi-purpose training room, secured parking, detention area with enclosed sally port, interview rooms, evidence processing, locker rooms and gym, office space, records and storage, a public lobby and community room and a second-floor victim assistance area.
In attendance at the groundbreaking from the City of Englewood was Joe Jefferson, Mayor of Englewood; Eric Keck, City Manager; John Collins, Police Chief; and several police and city staff, including many city councilmembers. Ed Bledowski and Kyle Yardley represented architect DLR Group and Donovan Nolan and Jon Micheel represented CBRE Inc. at the event.
“We’re honored to be part of such a monumental project for the City of Englewood,” said Alan Antolak, Project Executive with Adolfson & Peterson Construction. “This new building will help to support advanced technology and systems for their police force and provide space for community events.”
In addition to Alan, Jake Webber, Project Manager; Brad Dean, Superintendent; Chad Jelinek, Senior Project Manager; Chris Cooper, Preconstruction Manager; and Andy Wood, Estimator, were in attendance representing AP.
