Norwalk, CT, January 15, 2018 – The PiC20 Group announces that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved its registration of Ranger Ready Repellents. Invented by Co-Founders Chris L. Fuentes and Ted Kesten, Ranger Ready is expected to be available on April 1, just in time for the Spring 2018 tick and mosquito season.
The PiC20 Group’s Co-Founder and CEO, Chris L. Fuentes stated: “Ranger Ready is a new DEET-Free repellent that is highly effective against tick and insect bites. We took Picaridin, an alternative to DEET derived from piperidine found in pepper plants and has been widely used in Europe for 20 years. Our fragrance experts then created sophisticated scents such as Ranger Orange, that encourages consumers to wear repellents versus being put-off by how they feel and smell.”
Co-Founder, Ted Kesten, added “our goal was to be invented in America and made entirely in the U.S.A. We’re pleased that Ranger Ready will be blended in small batches, bottled and distributed directly from South Norwalk, CT. We’re adding local jobs and investing to protect our families from tick-borne diseases that have harmed so many lives.”
Ranger Ready Repellents’ brand and packaging were produced in collaboration with Fairfield, CT industrial design firm, Product Ventures. Kurt Leunis, Creative Director noted, “Ranger Ready’s branding reflects how we want people to feel: safely protected from ticks.”
