The class action also alleges that Swissport failed to properly reimburse their California employees for necessary business expenses they incurred on the company's behalf.

The lawsuit filed against Swissport SA, LLC alleges that the aviation services company failed to provide their California employees with the legal required thirty (30) minute uninterrupted meal break prior to their fifth hour of work. The complaint alleges "DEFENDANT was aware that PLAINTIFF and other CALIFORNIA CLASS Members did not take their meal and rest periods because of the workload and time constraints imposed upon them by DEFENDANT but DEFENDANT refused to remit premium payments to these employees for their missed meal and rest breaks."
The Class action lawsuit also alleges that the company violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act by unlawfully, unfairly and/or deceptively having in place company policies, practices and procedures that uniformly obtained credit reports on prospective employees without first obtaining valid authorization consent forms.
