(PRWEB) March 08, 2018
With less than three weeks away, the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp™) Foundation’s 2018 Symposium will once again offer four comprehensive courses needed for certification in a live, two-day, 12-hour track at Symposium 2018. The courses are regularly offered in a self-paced, online format.
The comprehensive courses will begin just prior to the start of iaedp’s™ annual conference on Wednesday and Thursday, March 21 – 22, 2018. Opening day for the conference itself is March 22, and conference events continue through March 25 at the Omni Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida. The comprehensive courses may be taken to satisfy the requirements for the Educational Designation, Certification, taken as a refresher or introduction to eating disorders treatment. If a professional is pursuing certification, all other prerequisites regarding education, experience and supervision apply. Both the Educational Designation and Certification require a successful completion of a written final examination post-symposium.
Each three-hour class is presented by eating disorder professionals nationally known in the field for their treatment expertise along with a co-presenter from the iaedp™ certification committee. “A professional's time is valuable, which is why we developed the two-day live format for our annual Symposium,” said Bonnie Harken, Managing Director at the iaedp™ Foundation.
“It also can be difficult for many professionals to find time for certification training – and by offering the courses prior to the Symposium, they’re able to accomplish as much as possible,” added Harken.
The comprehensive courses are offered as a separate track for $325 or combined with a Symposium 2018 registration for an additional $200. Course titles are: Overview of Eating Disorders, Treatment Modalities, Nutritional Aspects of Eating Disorders, and Medical Aspects of Eating Disorders.
