TripAdvisor has named its 2018 Travelers’ Choice award winners for “World’s Best Beaches” and once again, Grace Bay Beach was granted the #1 position.

Grace Bay Beach, located on the Turks and Caicos island of Providenciales, has just been named the World’s best beach by TripAdvisor’s 2018 Traveler’s Choice Awards. This announcement came as no surprise to Blair MacPherson, broker and co-owner of RE/MAX Real Estate Group Turks & Caicos Islands.

“With crystal clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand beaches, and shimmering coral reefs just offshore, we’ve long known that Grace Bay is a world class beach. But it’s also great to be recognized as such in the media,” says MacPherson, who has lived and worked in Turks and Caicos for over 15 years.

This isn’t the first time Grace Bay Beach has been designated by TripAdvisor as the world’s best beach- it was first recognized in 2016. In 2013, TripAdvisor even named Grace Bay as the number one beach in the Caribbean and the number two beach in the world.

Grace Bay Beach has received many other accolades as well. For 2017, CNN put Grace Bay Beach in the #3 spot in its list of top 100 beaches in the world. In 2012, About.com awarded Grace Bay Beach first place status for worldwide beaches in its Reader’s Choice Awards. And as far back as 2005, the World Travel Award (the international travel industry’s recognition program) proclaimed Grace Bay as the “World’s Best Beach.”

“Grace Bay Beach is surrounded by the third largest barrier reef in the world, and the natural environment there remains virtually untouched,” MacPherson says. “It is truly an idyllic setting—for a vacation destination, or to live in year-round if you are fortunate enough to be able to do so.”

With the word out about Grace Bay Beach, MacPherson expects the number of visitors to increase in the area in the years ahead, as well as more demand for vacation housing and continuing opportunities for real estate investment. He encourages anyone interested in Turks and Caicos real estate to contact him. MacPherson can be reached by phone at 1-800-941-0465 or 1-649-432-5677, or by email at blair@blairmacpherson.com.
