Virginia has extended its confidence in AIS Network for another two years. The SWaM-certified, high security hosting and IT managed services expert serving the Commonwealth of Virginia announced that it has renewed its statewide eGov services contract with the Virginia Information Technologies Agency through April 14, 2020.

Since April 2012, AISN has hosted Virginia.gov, and over the years, dozens of agencies, localities, schools and other public entities across the commonwealth have used AISN as a one-stop shop to build, host, operate and maintain mission-critical applications, websites, portals, databases and more.

The extension of contract VA-120416-AISN allows Virginia government customers to continue using the eGov technologies, solutions and services that have been available to them since the contract began. The remaining terms and conditions of the new agreement are substantially unchanged from the existing contract, which was scheduled to expire this spring.

“We are grateful to have built a long relationship with VITA and the Commonwealth of Virginia over the last six years,” said AISN CEO Jay Atkinson.

“AISN provides Virginia clients with flexibility to manage their solutions and services in an innovative, secure and compliant cloud environment while achieving high performance, and reducing costs. We will continue to seek opportunities to provide additional state-of-the-art, cost-saving solutions and services to the commonwealth.”

AISN recently developed the Virginia Department of Education’s award-winning School Quality Profiles portal, which is currently the “most decorated” government website in Virginia. It has also collaborated on noteworthy special projects for the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles, the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Virginia Health Care Foundation.

AISN’s three Virginia eGov contract vehicles make government IT purchasing easy:

  • VA-120416-AISN Hosting Services
  • VA-120413-BPI Web Applications Maintenance and Operations
  • CAI Virginia IT Contingent Labor Contract Statement of Work (SOW) – Application Development, Infrastructure Services and Information Security

VITA is Virginia’s central information technology agency and one of its responsibilities is procurement of technology goods and services. VITA’s statewide contracts, including AISN’s contract, can be accessed and utilized by all public entities, including Virginia counties, cities, towns, agencies, educational institutions and public safety providers.
