Today Harlem United officially launched a year-long celebration of the community-based organization’s three decades of impact on health and homelessness in Harlem and across the nation. Harlem United kicked off its anniversary with a new webpage featuring the campaign tagline “30 Years Strong”, along with the debut of its 30th Anniversary Campaign video, social media push and multimedia history timeline.
Funds raised from the 30th Anniversary Campaign and 2018 Boulevard Bash Gala, scheduled for October 24, 2018, will provide general operating support, and allow Harlem United to renovate the kitchen at the Willis Green Jr. Community Health Center (123-125 W 124th Street), as the organization expands its vocational education program to include a culinary-arts job training initiative, and continues to provide hot meals to its low-income, HIV-positive clients.
