Fort Lauderdale, FL. (PRWEB) June 18, 2012

"For the past year, the 411 PAIN lawyer and medical referral service has been working with the Florida Office of the Attorney General (AG Office) to settle an investigation regarding a discrepancy between current advertising rules issued by The Florida Bar, which regulates 411 PAIN's advertising, and the AG Office's opinion regarding proper advertising (myfloridalegal.com)." 411 PAIN complies with the same rules, regulations and processes as Florida attorneys in regard to approval of advertising practices. Consequently, 411 PAIN's advertisements are fully compliant with the law and the rules of The Florida Bar, Florida’s governing body of legal services. Further, 411 PAIN is confident that this position would be upheld in a court of law.

Despite this and after several months of negotiations during which the AG Office refused to acknowledge the significance of The Florida Bar's approval of its advertising, 411 PAIN concluded its resources could be better spent on charitable endeavors than a protracted legal fight. To that end, 411 PAIN negotiated a voluntary settlement agreement with the AG Office that included a donation to assist local indigent trauma patients at Broward County hospitals. "On Friday, June 1st, 411 PAIN finalized that settlement with the AG Office, via case number 12015527 in the Circuit Court of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit in and for Broward County, agreeing to make a donation of $275,000 each to Broward General and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and also agreed to continued compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding lawyer referral services and advertising for legal services (myfloridalegal.com)." 411 Pain is pleased this matter has been resolved with absolutely no finding of fault or wrongdoing on its part and without any fine or penalty, allowing 411 PAIN to return to helping people after automobile accidents.

411 Pain is pleased that this dispute could be concluded on terms consistent with its tradition of public service, especially in the area of healthcare. Its history of charitable work in healthcare includes collaborations with local radio station Power 96 to raise thousands of dollars for Miami’s Children’s Hospital. 411 PAIN ’s philanthropy also extends to education through its Read and Rise program, through which students are given the opportunity to have their own books and get excited about reading and school. These students will get an advantage instead of a roadblock on their path to a good education. Education will not take you very far though when there is no food on the table at home, so 411 PAIN organizes food drives and other assistance programs for those who are struggling. These are just a few of the programs and initiatives supported by 1-800-411-PAIN.
