4WD, industry-leading provider of aftermarket parts and accessories for Jeeps, has signed on as a Platinum Sponsor at the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival June 14-16. The company will sponsor the Moraine trail ride and Little Jeepers Playground and will also be a vendor at the third annual Butler, Pennsylvania event. The Jeep Festival will feature a history exhibit, expert speakers, how-to demonstrations, and outdoor activities for Jeep enthusiasts.

“If it weren’t for Roy S. Evans coming here to Butler and buying an automotive factory in 1936 we wouldn’t be here talking about the Jeep,” says Lee Bortmas, a member of the Butler County Historical Society. Bortmas is scheduled to give three talks at the Festival.

“They set up a WW2 encampment and there’s a group of people that are really into the military aspect of it,” says speaker Larry Johnson. “Bantam Jeeps are the highlight and Butler has a small Bantam museum with automobiles on display.”

There will be a flea market, how-to clinics, and onsite vendors will sell accessories like Jeep soft tops for contemporary vehicles. The festival focuses on heritage Jeeps, but novice Jeep enthusiasts will find plenty of exciting activities.

With Father’s Day happening Sunday, there will also be an emphasis on family activities. “4WD is excited about sponsoring activities for younger Jeepers,” says Victor Gonzales, 4WD National Sales Director. “We believe the Jeep’s legacy should continue and our support for these events reflects that.”

The annual Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival is organized by the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau, supported by the Butler County Historical Society, Butler downtown, local organizations and dedicated volunteers and Jeep enthusiasts. The celebration of Butler's role as the birthplace of the Jeep happens in downtown Butler and at Cooper’s Lake Campground, near Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

In 2011, the festival was inducted into the Guinness Book of World’s Records’ for having the most total Jeeps in a parade. It was the Jeep’s 70th anniversary and 1,106 Jeeps paraded that year.
