Yonkers, NY (PRWEB) March 12, 2008 -- 66 Main, the new luxury apartment rental building at the Yonkers waterfront, will invite a select group of local chefs to their new “social room” to showcase the eclectic international cuisine in the area and Westchester County. The event will include the presentation of a gift to the Food Bank for Westchester.
This is the first in a series of events that will be held in the building to welcome newcomers to the area and attract renters from places like Queens, Brooklyn, and New Jersey who are looking for the next “urban oasis.”
According to Kenneth Dearden of MetroPartners, the development company, “Although the re-birth of the Yonkers Waterfront has just begun, the restaurants in the area are world-class. From the gourmet sushi of X20 to the neighborhood feel of Pierview to the Cuban/French tastes and unique frosty mojitos at Belle Havana, even the most discerning ‘foodie’ will find something to sample here.”
The event will be held in May, to “christen” the social room, which features a plasma television, kitchen, fireplace, and views of the Hudson.
