AGC AeroComposites Names Dave Bartz President of US Operations

David Bartz, former Vice President of Fuselage Assembly at Spirit AeroSystems, has been named President of US Operations for AGC AeroComposites, an AGC Aerospace & Defense company.

Bartz joined AGC AeroComposites on July 28 to lead the US operations, which consist of three sites in Monterey, Calif., Seattle, Wash. and Hayden, Idaho. The company also has a strong presence in the U.K. with facilities in Yeovil, Portland and Derby. Bartz’s will drive the company’s strategic growth plan, which centers on increasing customer satisfaction through delivery, quality and process improvement while strengthening performance and integration throughout the global organization.

Bartz brings nearly 30 years of executive leadership experience in the aerospace industry after a successful career with Boeing and Spirit Aerosystems. In his former capacity as Vice President of Fuselage Assembly he was responsible for the production of all metal and composite fuselages for Boeing resulting in $2.6 billion in annual sales. Prior to this, Bartz was Vice President of Global Manufacturing and led Spirits’ global manufacturing strategy.

Bartz holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Montana State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Wichita State University.
