Just off a fifteenth place showing at the Auto Club 400 in Fontana, Allmendinger reflected on his first year with Penske Racing last Saturday, “We’ve had fast race cars; we’ve just had a lot of bad luck. I know people can always say that, but we’ve been a lot faster than what we’ve shown.” Then Allmendinger predicted, “I’m really looking forward to Martinsville.
