"A Divine Transition" is a True Story that Sidesteps Traditional Religion and Offers a Practical, Metaphysical Approach to Life's Problems - Preview the First Two Chapters Free

"A Divine Transition" is a court-documented story that sidesteps traditional religion and offers a practical, metaphysical approach to life's problems. Autobiographical, the author shares her mystical journey of empowerment through the power of prayer. She begins her story with a profound encounter with the Radiant Energy she believes ignites the consciousness of our material world. The first few chapters detail an increasing awareness that her preconceived perceptions create the reality she is experiencing. A recipient of an extraordinary act of kindness from a stranger that both changes and saves her life, she decides to help someone else in return.

The author volunteers to assist an elderly, developmentally disabled woman, Marion Hume, and becomes her legal guardian after she suffered a wrongful eviction from a HUD apartment. Forced to live away from the neighborhood which had been her home since she was 3 years old, Marion was unable to function without her familiar landmarks. Terrified and disoriented, she lived on the brink of psychotic collapse - an anomaly common to individuals with her disability induced by sudden change.

With only a 60 I.Q. (equivalent to an 8 year old child), Marion lived on her own with relatively little supervision for almost 30 years after placement of her mother in a nursing home in 1965. Improperly assessed by the court who believed she was faking mental retardation, her survival was due, in part, to the intervention of strangers, most of whom she met by chance. They often appeared during times of crisis and allowed her to maintain herself over the years under conditions that would have been otherwise overwhelming.

Through affirmative prayer and meditation, the author overcame enormous legal obstacles and returned Marion to her home in Ballard, Washington in May of 1995. During a Candlelight Service, six months later, Marion passed away at her church on Christmas Eve.

Unknowingly, before Marion's death, the author fulfilled two unlikely requests made in a sequestered Last Will and Testament written in 1979 that she had never seen. The first was to have Marion's funeral at her church. The second was a ground burial next to her mother who chose cremation for herself so she could purchase a burial plot for her daughter. Unfortunately, Marion's church did not do funerals and there were no funds available for an expensive ground burial.

However, because Marion passed-away at her church during the Candlelight Service she attended with the author, the doors to the church library where she died swung open. Her friends who attended the service came into the room to pay their last respects. Everything that comprised a traditional funeral service, except a casket, was present including a minister who offered prayers and consolation.

To protect Marion's Medicaid benefits, the author arranged a burial trust just six weeks before her death in order to lower her assets. Marion had just received a modest cash settlement from the former guardianship agency who failed to advocate on her behalf during the eviction from her apartment. Miraculously, everything Marion requested in her Last Will and Testament came true even though the author, her guardian, had no knowledge of its content. It was two days after Marion passed-away before the funeral director presented her with the document.

" 'A Divine Transition' is a tragic and triumphant tale that will both break your heart and lift you high in ecstasy." It will help you understand how "we, too, can become the hands and feet of God in this world."
