Absolute Rights tracked down Texas Senator John Cornyn at the GOP National Convention in Tampa, Florida for an interview. Tim Young, Managing Editor and host at Absolute Rights, spoke with Senator Cornyn about the convention and the overall state of the American government.
Young asked the Senator what, if anything, was different about this year’s convention compared to previous ones.
“Well, there’s never been more at stake,” Senator Cornyn said in the video. “I think for the first time in my adult lifetime, people feel like the next generation may be left holding the bag, because this generation has not dealt with some of the problems that we know need to be fixed.”
Senator Cornyn said a passed budget plan would “give us the tools that we need to be able to reform our tax code, repeal Obamacare, and hopefully start reigning in the size of the federal government.”
