Julie Gerberding and Hiromitsu Ogawa Join Accordia Board
Dr. Julie Gerberding, former Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Hiromitsu Ogawa, Partner and founder of Quest Venture Partners and of CAI International Inc., have been elected to the Accordia Global Health Foundation's Board of Directors.
Washington, D.C. (Vocus/PRWEB ) May 22, 2009 -- Dr. Julie Gerberding, former Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and Hiromitsu Ogawa, Partner and founder of Quest Venture Partners and of CAI International Inc., have been elected to the Accordia Global Health Foundation's Board of Directors.
Dr. Gerberding is a long-time expert in infectious disease research and care. During her tenure at the CDC, Gerberding led extensive disease prevention efforts, while guiding the organization through an era of expansion, globalization, and innovative transformation. Gerberding is currently an Associate Professor of Medicine at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Emory University, and continues to provide care for patients at San Francisco General Hospital.
Mr. Ogawa has honed his skills in financial leasing, shipping, and fundraising over a long and successful entrepreneurial career. Prior to founding Quest Venture Partners in late 2007, Ogawa spent over thirty years in the container leasing industry. Nineteen of those years were with CAI International Inc., which he founded; he continues to preside as the company's Executive Chairman of the Board.
Accordia Global Health Foundation president Dr. Warner C. Greene said of the new appointments to the Board of Directors:
