The Acquisition Group Walks for Hunger
Company Raises More Than $2,100 for the Organization
Framingham, MA (PRWEB) May 15, 2009 -- The Acquisition Group, Inc., a privately owned and operated marketing firm, recently participated in Project Bread - The Walk for Hunger. Thomas Putzel, president of The Acquisition Group, along with two other Boston area businesses, raised and contributed more than $2,100 to the organization.

The Walk for Hunger has been taking place annually since 1969. In the past few years, the number of walkers has exceeded 40,000 with annual contributions near $4 million. "We chose this event because it's local, with all proceeds staying in Massachusetts to benefit local communities directly," says Putzel. "We also wanted to be part of something really big."
To gather participants for The Walk for Hunger, Putzel's group started talking about the event about two months prior. They e-mailed other area businesses and encouraged them to do the same.
The walk took about four to six hours to accomplish--which also meant four to six hours of talking. "I personally had the opportunity to chat with one of the newest trainers in my company for the entire walk," Tom says. "We were also able to use the walk as a networking opportunity by bringing local businesses together."
