Action Donation Services to Process Car Donations for Huntsman Cancer Foundation
Action Donation Services® announced today that it has partnered with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation to be an exclusive agent nationwide for the receiving and processing of donated property including cars, boats, yachts, RV's, trucks, motorcycles, aircraft and miscellaneous heavy equipment.

HCF is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting cancer research, education, and treatment at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

Among its unique services that will be beneficial to HCF and their donors is a program that strives to maximize the selling price of donations by "fixing up" or refurbishing donations whenever it will be beneficial to the charity - and selling retail when feasible (rather than wholesale) in order to maximize the return to the charity. "Maximizing the selling price of donations also increases the legal tax deduction available to the donor - because donors are entitled in most cases to a tax deduction equal only to the gross selling price of their donated property," said Cox.
In addition, for certain property (usually higher valued autos, boats, aircraft and/or RVs), ADS is able to offer the donor a "partial cash payment" as an incentive to donate the property to the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. These "partial cash payment" transactions are referred to by the IRS as "bargain sales" and are routinely handled by ADS to benefit their client charities.
