Google is enabling the expansion of Angela’s House’ mission to provide for the needs of medically fragile children and their families on Long Island. Active Web is very proud to assist them to expand their donor, volunteer and fundraising base
Hauppauge, NY (PRWEB) September 28, 2012
Active Web Group, Inc. (AWG), a leading Internet marketing company headquartered in Hauppauge, New York, today announced that its client Angela’s House (angelashouse.org) has been accepted into Google’s grants program for non-profit agencies. For over 20 years, Angela’s House has assisted families to care for their medically frail children who may live with their parents or in special homes that offer 24 hour nursing support. The initial grant is scalable and will be used to contact and engage the agency’s supporters and donors through Google’s AdWords™ online advertising.
“Active Web values and is committed to our clients. We strive to find ways to enable them to grow their online businesses,” states Pat Norton, Vice President and Director of Business Development, Active Web Group, Inc. “Recently while attending a seminar, an AWG staffer saw the opportunity to assist Angela’s House in its fundraising initiatives by applying for a Google grant,” he notes. Once the Company had secured the non-profit’s permission, AWG guided them through the tedious application process. The first hurdle involved clearance by Google’s Not for Profit foundation, then the Google Grants (the nonprofit edition of AdWords™, Google’s online advertising tool) panel reviewed the non-profit’s application. Upon their consideration, Angela’s House soon received a scalable grant which is awarded and designated to promote their mission and initiatives on Google.com.
“Active Web realized the leverage this grant would provide our client allowing them to reach donors, volunteers and others when they are searching on Google,” Norton explains. “This way Angela’s House can further raise awareness for their worthy cause by selecting relevant keywords and creating unique advertising to highlight and promote their charity,” he adds.
Other features of the AdWords™ grant include the ability to track online donations, newsletter sign-ups and volunteer registrations thereby both tracking and streamlining this administrative process. “Essentially, Google is enabling the expansion of Angela’s House’ mission to provide for the needs of medically fragile children and their families on Long Island. Active Web is very proud to assist them to expand their donor, volunteer and fundraising base through this award,” Norton concludes.
